The Biology Education Advancement Program (BioLEAP) Classroom Grant supports educators who want to implement humane education tools into their curriculum by helping offset the costs of purchasing new materials. NAVS is especially interested in supporting teachers who want to replace traditional animal dissection with non-animal alternatives.
Funds can be used to purchase resource materials, supplies, equipment or technology to support replacing traditional animal dissection activities with humane, non-animal alternatives. Some funds may be used to support the professional development or training necessary to implement the project, but the majority of funds must be spent on materials for students.
