Grant Description
Grants to Alaska registered fire departments in eligible locations to improve public safety. Funding will be awarded based on the population size of the community served. Eligible applicants hold current registration with the State of Alaska Division of Life and Fire Safety. Grants will be awarded to independent fire departments within the Denali Borough.

Estimated Size of Grant
Per Capita funding is based on most recent Census block data for service area. Proposed funding is based on $16/person for Fire coverage and $18/person for EMS coverage based on the 2020 census population count.

Term of Contract
The Denali Borough Fiscal Year is July 1 through June 30.
