Grant Description
Grants of up to $10,000 to USA and France nonprofit organizations to present the work of French artists in the United States. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Funding is intended for the creation, recording, and presentation of new artistic works, as well as for touring projects confirmed by the U.S. presenting venue.

Financial support is given through Creative Grants for new creations & new commissions; and Touring Grants for tours of French artists and ensembles in the U.S.

Creative Grants: Jazz & New Music Creative Grants support projects jointly conceived by French and American professional musicians and institutions that encourage artistic exploration, foster intercultural dialogue, and contribute to the dynamism of the musical aesthetics it defends. It also supports new commissions to French composers, especially in the field of new music.

  • Commissions may include arrangements, compositions, rehearsals, performances, and recordings;
  • Works presented must be composed by living composers.

Priority will be given to:

  • Projects involving artists or living composers whose work has rarely been seen in the partner country;
  • Projects involving new generations of composers;
  • Projects involving women artists and/or composers;
  • Projects reflecting diversity and inclusion;
  • Projects experimenting with new forms of music.

Touring Grants: Promoting French musicians and ensembles in the U.S. is a core goal of the program.

  • Tours must include at least 3 shows or public programs (masterclasses are considered);
  • Works presented must be composed by living composers.
