In-kind support valued at up to $750 to Alaska medically vulnerable residents in eligible regions to mitigate hardships caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. The purpose of the program is to provide financial assistance in the form of grocery vouchers and utility bill payments. Eligible applicants reside in the City of Saxman.
The grants are specifically meant for people in a high risk group who are limiting their exposure to the public and are experiencing loss or hardships due to COVID-19.

The City has one grant available which grants one per household. Once verified, the applicant will be notified that the voucher is ready for redemption.
**Approved applicants who choose Safeway Food Vouchers must be aware that they estimated time arrival is 3-4 weeks**
Estimated Size of Grant
This grant provides assistance up to $750.00 per household. This grant allows the applicant to choose where they would like the assistance applied. The options include assistance with electric (KPU), fuel for heating (Petro Marine/Arrowhead/Delta Western), credit towards Water & Sewer bill and/or a food voucher (A&P/Safeway/Wal-Mart).
