Grants of up to $15,000 to Alaska nonprofit, tribal, and faith-based organizations, schools, and agencies for support during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is intended to assist with the operational or programmatic costs of providing services related to the crisis and financial hardship caused by pandemic-related disruptions. This final round of funding will focus on community needs that may be lagging in delivery, such as domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, suicide prevention, and equitable vaccine distribution and education.
Grants to nonprofits addressing ongoing needs in food security, homelessness prevention, childcare assistance, and support for social equity issues that surfaced during the pandemic will also be considered.
Funding is unrestricted but associated with meeting the increasing demand for existing services, providing new service delivery models, and ensuring the availability of critical services to those with the highest need. Funds are available to be used towards service and program delivery, extended outreach and support to individuals and families, new staffing requirements, operational safety, and other costs associated with serving individuals and families impacted by the crisis.
